Artist Date of the Week: Jackson Pollock & Debee Campos

Each week, I share here not only my artwork, but also my "Artist Date of the Week". Something taken from Julia Cameron that inspires me to live the creative life and gives you a glimpse of the real person I am and the inspiration behind my works.
This week I created something inspired by Jackson Pollock and also by an amazing art class I took - Inspire Lovely
Debee Campos is one of the most talented and creative scrapers I´ve ever seen- what an inspiration!
She recently opened a store in which we can access her class PDF archives and I simply couldn´t resist.
In this class she has explained everything bout her awesome creative process. Fantastic!
During the class she refers to Jackson Pollock´s creative process and this has inspired me to study a little more about him.
I can´t say much, because that´s Debee´s class, but I just wanted to show you how I had a lot of fun splatting paint all over my background paper to make "Nothing is forever".

O encontro artístico desta semana foi bastante especial e conduzido por uma artista que eu admiro muitíssimo e que me inspira muitíssimo: Debee Campos.
Na minha opinião, o trabalho dela é o que de mais original e lindo surgiu no scrapbooking ultimamente.
Há tempos atrás, fiquei triste em saber que ela tinha dado um curso on line cujas vagas já estavam esgotadas. Recentemente, porém, ela abriu sua lojinha, InspireLovely, oferecendo o arquivo de aula em PDF - ah, essa chance eu não iria perder por nada!
E fiquei realmente impressionada com a qualidade do que ela ensinou ali - simplesmente abriu todos os segredos de seu processo criativo! Algo surpreendente!!!
Dentro dessa aula ela fez referência a Jackson Pollock e a técnica de pintura de que ele se utilizava.
A partir daí estudei um pouco mais sobre ele e foi assim que me diverti um bocado pintando o papel de fundo da página que vocês acompanharam acima!
Quem gostar de free style, quem entender um pouco de inglês não deve perder a oportunidade!

Yummy´s Scrap Weekend 2011
Yummy´s Scrap Weekend is an event that will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

A segunda edição do nosso Yummy´s Scrap Weekend vai acontecer nos dias 14 e 15 de maio de 2011 , sábado e domingo, no hotel 4 estrelas Novotel Morumbi!
Faremos 18 projetos no formato de 8 páginas duplas e 2 páginas únicas, todos dados em aula durante o evento e preparados pelo super time de design da Yummy´s!
