Crate Paper March Color Challenge

Crate Paper has a new Color combo challenge. Look how amazing and inspiring it is! Lucy Edson has chosen  colors that seem to be a hot trend going on right now......charcoal, yellow, kraft.

Just a few rules for the challenge:
  • You may submit a layout, card or project to be eligible. Projects need to be submitted by midnight (EST) March 11th. Email them to me @ info@cratepaper.com
  • You may use the colors in any proportion you wish, as long as you use all 3 colors in the palette. And you may add black, white or kraft paper to the colors.
  • Projects must use at least 50% Crate Paper - you may mix any paper lines you like, old and new.
  • The winner will be announced on March 14th and I'll share some of my favorite projects here on the blog. The winner will selected based on creativity and quality of work.

Here´s my take:

Check out Crate Paper blog to see the details!
I can´t wait to see what you create with this stylish color combo!

And there´s one more thing I want to share... This month Webster's Pages welcomes Sarah Mullanix as our Guest Designer for March. She shared her funky style and showed us just how versatile our new Trendsetter and Country Estate lines can be! Take a peek at her layouts and leave her your congratulations on this thread HERE!

Inspired by Sarah´s "Splash" layout, I created the one below. I tried to reproduce her design and added some cut outs the same way that she did. What a great inspiration!

Entreartistes challenge: finding the perfect match palette

Hello, girls
I´m hosting a challenge this week at Entreartistes!
Let´s see what it is about so you can play!

"Today I would like to show you a very nice tool to help finding the perfect palette to match our photos: a color generator.
In the example shared here I used the "pictaculous" tool to find a palette to match the photo I wanted to use in my layout.

Let´s see how it works - Pictaculous takes an image of your choice and generates a selection of color palettes based off of it. With a simple upload you can turn an image or your own photo into a functional palette. And there´s even more: Pictaculous creates a primary palette made out of colors directly extracted from the image, the large one shown above the image in the screenshot here. By tapping into the design site ColourLovers and its archive of user-created palettes, it suggests five related color palettes for your consideration.

In this case, I just went to pictaculous website and uploaded this photo:

(photo Fabrizio Oppes)

With just one click and after waiting a few moments, it gave me this primary palette:

Cool and so inspiring!!!
So, I challenge you to find your perfect photo-match palette or simply to create a project using the palettes given above!
It´s your turn! I can´t wait to see what you create!
And don´t forget to add a link to your project here.
Thanks for stopping by!
See you!
Larissa

E não esqueça de deixar o link para seu trabalho no blog de {Entreartistes}
Um bom dia a todas!
